Welcome
Adam House is a Christian refugee reception centre located in Toronto, Canada. We provide a safe and comfortable home for newly arrived refugee claimants who have chosen, at least temporarily, to settle in the GTA. Our caring staff provide assistance with the immigration and settlement process which can be very difficult to navigate. Since opening in September 2002, Adam House has served 1400* refugee claimants from countries around the world, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. We believe that God has called us to care for the very real needs of newcomers to Canada, and to share the Word of God as we have been called.
Adam House is named in honour and memory of Salah and Shaline Adam, and their children Joshua and Rebecca, who perished when Egypt Air Flight 990 went down on October 31, 1999.

Pastor Armando and several volunteers from Grace Community Church, Mississauga, shared Christmas lunch with all of our residents. We are so blessed that your could take time on Christmas Day, to share with newcomers to Canada. Thank you!

Wilmar Heights Baptist Church prepared and served a Christmas meal on the 14th. They also led us in singing much loved Christmas carols, shared from God's word. Many thanks to Commonwealth Baptist and Morningstar Christian Fellowship for providing gifts for all those who attended.

Thank you Commonwealth Baptist Church for hosting our Annual BBQ at Adam House on July 17th! The weather was beautiful. The food was delicious. And we had a wonderful time of connecting with former residents, students and volunteers. Special thanks to Dorothy and Sarah for organizing!

Praise God! The Adam House Friend Raising Banquet & 10th Anniversary celebrating the Adam Family was a wonderful evening spent with friends, old & new, of Adam House. Approximately 150 people attended the event which was held on April 27 at Willowdale Pentecostal Church. Our guest speaker Rev. John Mahaffey, Lead Pastor, West Highland Baptist in Hamilton, was Salah & Shaline Adam’s pastor and Adam House board chair. He shared from John 12:24-26 and testified that Salah & Shaline followed Christ, even unto death. Through Adam House, and through their testimony, their lives have produced many seeds. We are very grateful to Willowdale Pentecostal for hosting the event and for the delicious meal. We hope to see even more of you next year!
